“Beauty’s presence strips you of all defenses. It pulls down your walls and ridicules your clumsy masonry. Suddenly, you find yourself in an open field. Beauty overwhelms instantly with a rush of freedom.

“Until you start to wonder: How could have been so wrong? So foolish? If it only took this beautiful creature to lift the dirty veil off the universe? Why could I not do so on my own?
